cheers andy, got to say it was fun driving it, even though it runs like s**te etc etc.
having a fuse blow taking out most electrics put about 6 items on the fail sheet, biggest problem is they failed it on steering rack ends being modified and the way its attatched to beam axle. apparently bolted and welded is not good enough. also servo not working.
the rack is bolted to a hefty bracket which in turn is bolted and welded to beam. they suggested u-bolts. i'm using austin track rod ends so they fit the steering arms, i then cut the link rod from austun axle to use threaded ends(to match t/rod ends) these were then slid over steering rack ends and welded. apparently this is a big no no. i've no idea how to get over this problem. got to say they were realy helpfull, even came out and had a look, an talked good sense.

Nothing major then, other than the track rod ends. Always good if you can ask them what they'd suggest/accept to remedy problems. Could you slide a steel sleeve over the joints & pin through it, welding the sleeve ends & pins?

i've an idea how to get over it, they won't like it but it'll pass an then be an advisory remembering what the servo came from is a bigger headache!!!! think its a ford one.
