Spent a bit of time in the garage today on this. Made some mudguard stays and mounted the seat properly. Started on a sidestand mount but couldn’t get it to take properly on the frame. Didn’t really take pictures, just a quick one from the Instagram

Spent a bit of time in the garage again. Not much on this one, but changed the throttle, got the sidestand to take - which will probably need cutting down and fully welded one of the struts up. I've had a throttle cable come in the post today, but think it might come up a bit short.

Is that one of those universal, cut it to length sidestands?

Not sure, it came in a box of bits with the other one. Has a kick on the end, so guess it’s for something

In my Brit bike days we used to buy "Custom Chrome" ones that had a big square block on the pivot end with a long side stand that pushed into it & was held with a grub screw, so you could cut the stand to suit.

that sounds a bit like the ones you can get still. Hasn't snapped off as far as I'm aware so hopefully all good

I need to pick up some "sex" bolts to cure my tank fitting issue, but bolt and tool aren't open on the weekends anymore are they?

Something like these - https://www.fastenright.com/general-fixings/socket-countersunk-sex-bolts/sb03

No, they only open Monday to Friday now.
Sex Bolts?! I've never heard of those before! I've seen those fittings on bolt stalls at steam rallies, but didn't know that's what they're called.

Got some threaded bungs to redo the footrest mounts come through the post. Pretty happy with how they’ve worked out. Look vaguely even as well

I don't think I've ever managed to get footpegs mounted symetrically!
Nice chunky mounts.
