Thats what I am inclined to do. Was thinking about a Swedish type VW with chain drive instead of two gearboxes.
Thanks mate.

Further adventures. I cut up some thick angle from the shed, and made this today. Once I have drilled some holes to mount it, I have to make a similar one for the Reliant box bellhousing.

That's tidy Doug. I probably would've ended up paying a fortune to have something plasma cut from flat plate half an inch thick, which wouldn't have done the job half as well. Nice.

This is the third or forth design. I have to allow for the length of the starter motor and have room for the clutch mechanism. I would like to have had a nice spacer in there but we are skinter than a very skint thing at the moment. Going to be very low tech this.

That could be just about any of us here! You'll be wantng some wheels & tyres on that before you go too far mate. And an axle to fit them to.

I decided to move the engine back, the seat foward, and have my feet in front of the pots. It feels more natural like that. I look even balder in this pic. Bummer.
Always fancied an afro.

Should've Photoshopped yourself a full head of hair -or worn a crash helmet. Yeah, look more natural I agree.

May be worth considering 2 sets of pegs . On my kwack my legs are forward, like your second pic, and i find that on long journeys its nice to have the option to move them back, like your second pic.

All depends on where I put the engine. Nowadays my knees don't like being bent for too long.

Did a bit more today. Just got to buy a load of 10 mm nuts & bolts to fix it together. Weighs half a ton though.
