great looking stuff Mouse,think manky meant was lower the headstock"front end" till the headstock is about 8 inches above"roughly" the heads of the motor  making the front lower and overall length longer cheers m8 thats what i thought he meant too but i wasnt sure about the extra lenght (rake) that would cause with the forks

well as you have atm you can slide the front end down just for looks sake neat idea having that little frame at the front for holding the front end together :-)

I just meant that a high steering head on my first trike build made the steering very heavy & awkward. We always use standard length forks now & mount them low & kicked out. Looks good, (in my humble opinion), & helps stability. Does look nice Mouse.

I'm no expert mate. I can only go on personal experience with my own builds. I know too much trail's supposed to be a bad thing, but it's never caused us any problems. However, 5 inch over length forks & a high headstock on the Yam trike made the steering very clumsy. Every trike's different & there's loads of other variables that can adversely affect handling. Centre of gravity too high, wheelbase too narrow or too short, blah, blah, blah. Try it & see?
