Yep, I'm OK. Have good days and bad, but mostly good(ish).
Spending more time at the forge, (weather permitting) but must get back to working on the car.
Whenever I'm near South Ham, I pop by the garage just in case you are there.

Just got in. I did leave the show before sunset,  Smiley  but as I was out and about, I went to visit family in Fareham. Plus good to give the car a run as lately it hasn't been going far and hopefully it's charged the battery up a bit.

Well it was lovely to see sooooo many Mankies. Yes Terry, I mean you.  Cheesy  You did well though bringing along your own
GL1500 Trike with its impressive Jag axle, plus friends who brought 4 nice American cars (I would list what they were but I'd probably get one wrong so I'll leave Terry to add that detail) and a Can Am trike. Chris (Phunkie) had his very smart '57 MG Magnette there. Lunatic's Dad (Dave) popped by but his early Model A Ford was showing in the main field. Oh, and mustn't forget, Chevy Rick showing off his customised golf cart (with brolly stand) for him and Alfie.  Grin

Olds and his wife Linda made a quick visit and a certain well known person turned up sans bike or pop. Who could that be?  Wink  Yes you guessed it, our esteemed leader, who after the show was off to visit Stinkey. (You are so easy to tease Andy but you know it's done with love. We are all glad you enjoyed your stress free Basingstoke this year.)

Last but not least, a very buff Merv  Shocked  (time to change your Avatar on Manky) came along with his wife Sharon. She said it took practically as long to get parked and into the show as it did to get from Gloucester to Basingstoke! The sun had definitely brought the visitors out.

So, not quite the turn out we've enjoyed in the past and lots of faces missing for various reasons (well BikerGran said she had had a better offer  - but you could have still dropped the bacon sarnies off  Tongue) but thanks to Terry and friends and Chris for coming along and at least marking our space for future years. Get on with those projects!  Cool
JJ  Smiley

I think young Terence did very well at short notice. Well done Sir. You realise you're in charge every year now?!
Thank you to all those who came along. As always, it was appreciated Smiley
Yes, I went on to visit Mr Stinkey in Dorset later in the day, then on to see my Mum after that, so I'll post a few snapshots tomorrow.

Well done Terry for filling the pitch this year. I really was intending on bringing the trike but it wasn't to be. The trikes not broken, I am. A run out for petrol the night before made me realise that it wouldn't be a good idea, so Linda and I just popped by for a very quick look around. Sorry I couldn't stay longer JJ. Perhaps next year.

To be brutally honest, I wish I'd been there!  I had booked for a VW event in Somerset, it was mostly cold and damp and there were only two outfits from our club there.  Too tired to head for the marquee on Friday night, and the sounds I was hearing didn't really inspire me to make an effort Saturday night, so I went home!

I COULD have been staying at the Fox and Goose (where Mike and I stayed last year the night before Basingstoke)) with a group of campers/campervans, motorhomes who enjoy staying in places that don't cost the earth, AND meeting up with an old friend, AND been to the NOT MMM stand at Basingstoke!   T

That'll larn me!
