 not much done today, work, time with the mrs before she departs for another week away. i've bent metal for other curve of cowl. back on it tomorrow afternoon.

no updates tonight, apart from weld, weld weld.

and putting frame work for cowl on 1" higher than other side ................doh  Roll Eyes

2 days off now so could be a little bit of progress Grin

i struggled to get it to line up, then stood back when i had finished an thought that looks a bit on the pee!!!! it was just a little!!!

That cowl makes a basic metal box into something surprisingly car-like doesn't it!

thank you andy, its not the same shape each side but i guess thats what you get with doing it in ya garage with a handfull of tools.

the flattened copper pipe is used when welding. you put it behind a butt joint/gap in steel on the sheet steel, it then stops the weld burning through but does not stick to copper. end result is holes filled in. it does get mighty hot though so a wooden handle is good.

Helps if you make both sides of the frame at the same time. Doesn't look too far out though.
