I saw quite a few where you stuffed a cable/probe into the water flow of the rubber pipe and just clamped it with the jubilee clip. I wasn't happy with that so splashed out (no pun intended) on an ali T piece bit from Mini Sport, just split rubber tube and slide on each side of the T (passes straight through) and the switch sits in from the top. Just wire straight from thermoswitch to Subaru fan  which switch did you use nabs?? mind i supose if you use the split pipe route the thread is a common one. |

Tight/careful = skint I saw one of these earlier today and thought I may use one. I plan to tap an m14x1.5 thread into a bit of steel pipe and put it into a radiator hose. One of Fifer's links makes sense about having it in bottom hose of reliant motor, it may help you with your honda motor. Ive only got an m8 helicoil kit. |

I think i'll use one of the M14 x1.5 fan switches as per Terry's link, most of the other cheaper makes/models seem to have an M22 thread for which I dont have a tap  Ive already got a steel pipe connecting 2 lengths of my bottom hose (see fifer's links) so I'll only need to drill/tap to suit, hopefully that'll sort it. |

that works out dearer than the one i showed you. unit £24 inc .£5.00 for the tapping. £6.00 pp. = £35.00 . you don't get rad switch or jubilee clips |

i found a reducer on ebay 5/8x18unf male to m14x1.5 female would fit in the head where the temp sender is then need to find a m14 fan switch
