Thanks TB. Couldnt find them on the net! A couple of switches puzzle me... The indicator switch doesnt hold over when pushed to the left or right. Whats the 'push' for ? see wiring diagrams. Whats the 'passing light' for? Thanks

The passing light switch is a main headlamp beam flasher switch.
The "push" would usually denote a `push to operate` switch

Not sure if this if any use (lazy me didn't look at the diagram) - On Yam's, the indicator activator springs back immediately you let go, leaving the indicators running for a set time / distance. Pushing the indicator button cancells the signal.

I`m afraid sports bikes aren`t my thing mate. Tony`s suggestion is a good one, or you may have to slide it across then press it in to hold it there ?

indicator on the virago returns to central position too, you cancel the indicator by pressing the button in.

On my virago , the indicator switch is self-centering and you push it in to cancel ( stays on till canceled ) ..... .. Hagar .. OOOPPPS ..... too slow ...

Update ..sort of! Just read tony oily bikes post again,(and again!) So is there a timer connected somewhere? Cant see anything in the casing itself..all looks mechanical in there.
From memory, Yam's old sales brochures used to describe the indicators as 'self cancelling', which was great if you were forgetful, but a hassle if you wanted them on for ages. I don't know how they worked!!, which is why I said 'distance/time', but I used to find myself 'refreshing' the turn signal manually just in case they were thinking of stopping. Don't know what Suzuki have tho..... (or if Yam still have them). Hope that helps..........

Another stupid Q!. One of the switches already mentioned appears to be the "passing light " switch.I presume the lights work for the length of time it is depressed. So..why would I use this switch,I dont flash/put my lights on when passing vehicles when driving my car,and Ive never seen a bike flash its lights anyway. Is this some sort of gimmick,or maybe a necessity? If I remove the switch and wiring to it(I could do with thinning out the amount of wires Im trying to get thro' the bars)might I have probs with MSVA,possibly with a "fitted must work" rule? Thanks
