This is nice gentle and 'rather British' event......... There's a classic Car & Bike rally which finishes at the Lynwood Centre between Sunningdale and Sunninghill (Near Ascot), where the vehicles are displayed along with a fete. SL5 0AJ if you're sat-naving your way there Have been along various times over the last 15 years or so, just don't expect loud and wild. Flyer says there should be a special display to commemorate 50 years of the E type Jag, an another special display of Model Ts commemorate 100 years of the Ford Motor Co in England http://www.ben.org.uk/events/lynwood-fete-and-paul-finn-rally/

i wont be there this year already booked in somewhere else. it is an enjoyable show though, and vehicles are by invitation only and pre 69 i think. they can be newer than that if its something unusual.

You're right in that the rally and show are by invite only, and somehow the organiser manages to get the route to run through some of the normally-closed-to-public areas of Windsor Great Park. Good guess on the date - cut off for vehicles is 1965. The cars normally range from everyday little run arounds like Austin Sevens and family saloons of the 50's etc, up to Lagondas & Bentleys, with the run setting off from the Ascot racecourse #10 car park at 11.15 Was fortunate enough to have been invited a couple of years ago, and the Great Park part of the ride was brilliant.

A review of the day - The annual Paul Finn Vintage and Classic Vehicle Rally takes place around Ascot in Berkshire, and an invited entry of around 150 cars and motorcycles spend an hour or so on a road run which includes parts of Windsor Great Park that aren't open to the public (someone knows someone for that to happen!), before assembley at the BEN Lynwood Centre in Sunninghill for a fete and display. BEN is a charity to help the automotive and related industries provide care and support for employees and their dependants in times of need. http://www.ben.org.uk/Myself and mate Dslam have been lucky enough to have been invited over the last three years (we must have done something right then!). The event seems 'very British' in its feel, as its sets off from Ascot racecourse and ends up in the grounds of the centre, which vehicles parked in the grounds, kids eating ice cream, volunteer-manned burger stall, brick-a-brac stalls, animals from a local farm, drivers having picnics etc etc. So here are some pics, starting off at the assembly area of the racecourse and ending up at the fete. 1924 Singer
