Smiley Bless him. Everyone should have a garage mutt I think. I've got Lunatic instead.
Are you buying a new spring or have you already got one. I was looking at them in the Pop Browns catalogue the other day. My front one came from Speedway in the States, via Valley Gas Speed Shop in Newbury, Berks. Could you split the wishbone & run it down either side of the chassis as I did with the front one?

For those that don't remember them, that's a foot operated high beam switch. I haven't got room in my footwell to use one! What's the column stalk from Chris?

My anglia (my first car) had one of those foot operated dipswitches - sometimes I used it to change gear with!

Many years ago I used to work a few hours each afternoon for a neighbour who worked from home restoring classic Jags. Nearly wrote off an XK120 when I mistook the dipswitch for the brake pedal!

Yep, it was on mine - but I still mistook it for the clutch pedal - more than once!  Didn't really seem to matter tho if the speed was right it just rolled through, used to do that with an ancient Austin lorry on the farm too!  (and that had no syncromesh at all!).
