"Building alterations" -oh, oh, that sounds ominous!  Shocked
Very nice looking car Chris. I completely understand how you feel -I haven't had anything custom on the road for a couple of years because everything's still being built. Sometimes you just want something on the road to enjoy right now.
Have fun!

hi andy,
building alterations consist of puttin a beam in to support bricks above french doors(theres a main beam 4" behind)
then enlarge whole wide enough for pop and room to work.
contruct stud work along the side an fit window and door(bought cheaply of ebay)

back to pop,

started going through stuff for mot, flashers flashed about 120 times a minute, slightly fast!!!
due to this me thinks.

i tried a yank one i've got here and they flash at a more normal speed, but its not got a feed to warning light.

also trying to get hold of a stock pop ignition switch or similar in good condition, the one thats fitted gets hot with ignition runnin through it, lights are integrated into this switch and still work ok,could it need a relay of some type to stop full current runnin through the switch(which is the 6v original as its now runnin 12v)

cheers chris.

Ahh, house building, not car building!
Try Stafford Vehicle Components for the switch Chris.

Bless 'em. I don't think you're allowed to work in Halfords if you're older than 17. So any car more than 10 years old is positively vintage to them.
I was in my local branch this morning. Seem to blow headlight bulbs in my 5 year old Ford Fiesta every 6 months or so. For about 2 quid they'll fit them for you & to be honest, for that price I can't be bothered to do it myself. Wouldn't trust them to do anything more difficult than that though. Took them 2 attempts to get the right bulb off the shelf, even with the old one as a guide.
