The show was based on a 1965 film called Clarence the cross eyed lion, which starred Marshall Thompson as Dr. Marsh Tracy -the same character he played in Daktari, so no type casting there then.
Daktari's a Swahili word for "as" -?

Saturday pm wrestling with the like of Big Daddy, Giant Haystacks, Roller Ball Rocco, the Royale Brother and Kendo nagasaki Mick McManus. Pat Roach.... (any others?) Pukka it was  James Alexander Gordon was reading out the classified football results then I think and he still does it now  Les kellet, my friends Dad. Good call that... I remember him. |
