Among the bits are a new bonnet, (about 6 feet square), & an entire new roof skin. So it'll be a big box!

Picked up the replacement front cross member from one of Taz's Mopar Muscle Association forum members at the Hotrod Drags this weekend. It carries the front engine mounts, steering assembly & suspension. It's a chunky ol' lump of steel. Must have been a hell of an impact to twist the old one out of shape.

Well, the last, (I hope), shipment of body panels finally arrived at John's workshop today. I'm running a livery yard all by myself at the moment, so working over 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. I've been busting a gut all day today, trying to create enough spare time to nip over to the workshop & see my parts arrive, but everything conspired against me & I just couldn't get there.
This has to be the last parts we order for the forseeable future as we just can't afford any more. The rest of the car's going to have to be built on a shoestring budget to compensate. Really disappointed we couldn't be there today to see the big boxes arrive & help unpack all that lovely new steel.   Cry
My heart sank when John told me something must've been dropped on the roof panel in transit, but he reckons it's just a couple of minor dings, (God, I hope so!).
The guys at Jacks Autos in New Jersey are equally anxious to know the parts arrived safely, (they've been fantastic & we thoroughly recommend them for shipping Mopar parts from the States), so Andy & I hope to get to John's on Monday afternoon.
A whole weekend of waiting   Sad

Because Taz is working such daft hours at the moment, we haven't been to see the Charger for a couple of weeks now. The guys at the workshop certainly don't need any directions from us, just more money, so we're quite happy to let 'em get on with it. Can't wait to see how it's progressed though & to take a look at those new panels. One of Taz's fellow Mopar Muscle Association forum members is visiting the workshop tomorrow, (Saturday mornings are a sort of open house for past & present customers), & has promised to send us some pics.

Well, as usual, there's good news & bad news-
At first glance everything looked fine, but it's just been pointed out to us that there's a dirty great dent in the roof panel. Almost inevitable that a panel that big would sustain some damage somewhere along the line I suppose & now it's here, delivered & unpacked, we've got no proof it was done in transit. Hopefully it's a "soft" dent that will pop or pull out & not a sharp crease. Either way, I'm sure it can be rectified, just bloody annoying.
Never mind. A small blemish compared to the state the car was in!
We've got the last of our new panels -hurrah!!

know that is annoying pity they never took pics of the panels before shipping them to you then you might have had proof looks quite a large dent as well hope it will be a easy repair  Smiley
