According to the Popham Airfield events page    http://www.popham-airfield.co.uk/Events.htm   the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club jumble is on Sun 2nd April.

VJMC webpage, at time of posting, doesn't show this event.

No I found a bloke who could sort it but he's in shepton Mallet and didn't have much space in his workshop so I would have to get the axle out and take it to him.  Yes I could do that, but putting it back in would be a different matter.  Then I realised that if I was going to sell the trike it wasn't really worth the enormous effort all that would involve.

It just took me a while to accept that selling Gertie was really the next sensible step because I'm really not likely to ride her very much as the arthritis just doesn't let me cope with cold and damp, and tbh it's really better to accept that I'm not part of the world of biking/triking any more, and embrace the world of VW.  I'm getting there.
