According to the Popham Airfield events page http://www.popham-airfield.co.uk/Events.htm the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club jumble is on Sun 2nd April. VJMC webpage, at time of posting, doesn't show this event. http://www.vjmc.com/events.htmlhttp://www.vjmc.com/https://www.facebook.com/VJMCHampshire/?ref=page_internal

Hm, wonder if I could take Gertie to sell her if I can scrounge a trailer - or is it pure classic? The base bike is old enough to qualify for VJMC.

Yes but as the axle has problems I'm not going to chance it by trailing it to Popham.

No I found a bloke who could sort it but he's in shepton Mallet and didn't have much space in his workshop so I would have to get the axle out and take it to him. Yes I could do that, but putting it back in would be a different matter. Then I realised that if I was going to sell the trike it wasn't really worth the enormous effort all that would involve.
It just took me a while to accept that selling Gertie was really the next sensible step because I'm really not likely to ride her very much as the arthritis just doesn't let me cope with cold and damp, and tbh it's really better to accept that I'm not part of the world of biking/triking any more, and embrace the world of VW. I'm getting there.
