Can't imagine there would be a problem but I would definitely put some sort of guard on the front pulley. Getting your trouser leg caught could be nasty. |

well as it turns out even though the support is made from box section there is enough flex for it to rub the tyre so i have to put steady bars on after all,so with that in mind i,I've made a start on the number plate side mount. why i hear you ask ,well so as to be able to make the steady for the mudguard symmetrical i am going to mount the numberplate on the lift side of the swing arm and then the steady can go to it as well ,all will become clear as i progress so some pics to be going on with got some u section to hold the numberplate and cut 2 V's in it to allow me to make 2 90 deg bends scanner's bobber scanner's bobber  and welded up the corners scanner's bobber fits snuggly round the plate scanner's bobber then welded 2 angles together to make a top scanner's bobber which also lets me mount a light above the plate scanner's bobber then it got toooo cold in the shed so you will have to wait for the next thrilling installment ! |

Yup, definitely a chill in the air now. I've tried side mount plates on hardtail chops in the past & was always amazed how much bracing they needed. It's suprising how much they flex with vibration & wind pressure against them, especially on full sized, 9" x 7" plates. |

Nice conversion! The plate does look humungus though.
Correct me if I am wrong but I am sure the number plate needs to be lit when the lights are on. Not sure if that's an MOT fail but may be worth checking out.
