the good news is that fibreglassing the nut to the inside of the tank work a treat so that sorted the back dash mount. now to improve on the front one A little progress A little progress A little progress fortunatly I remembered to but bolts through the plates before i welded them on or the whole thing would have been shot surports the dash nicely, mean's i don't have to get any longer bolts and now i can move on to some of the other job's i need to finish before paint can anyone see anything i've missed as sometimes you can't see the forest for the trees

That looks like some pretty thick oil. Except when mounting in the frame (twice), my engine never left the ground. Figured if it's already on the garage floor it can't fall much further.

yeh I'd say it's a while since it last had an oil change and your right it can't take much hurt on the floor but changing the sump while it's down there might be a bit hard on the back,in saying that if i cant get a lift with it in the next day or two then i guess i'll be finding out

Can it wait till it's in the frame. Otherwise you risk damaging the 'new' sump. They are pretty thin and easily dented.
