thicker mount seems to have sorted the problem no visible flexing now so i'll leave it at that for now and see what happens

the hex bolts will be replaced with stainless button headed ones on final assembly

to mount he back of the dash nearest the tank i did this,hope it work's but won't know until the morning when the fibreglass is hard. i greased the thread to stop the glass from sticking to it

the good news is that fibreglassing the nut to the inside of the tank work a treat so that sorted the back dash mount. now to improve on the front one

fortunatly I remembered to but bolts through the plates before i welded them on or the whole thing would have been shot  Shocked Shocked

surports the dash nicely,mean's i don't have to get any longer bolts and now i can move on to some of the other job's i need to finish before paint

can anyone see anything i've missed as sometimes you can't see the forest for the trees

That looks like some pretty thick oil.
Except when mounting in the frame (twice), my engine never left  the ground.  Figured if it's already on the garage floor it can't fall much further.

yeh I'd say it's a while since it last had an oil change and your right it can't take much hurt on the floor but changing the sump while it's down there might be a bit hard on the back,in saying that if i cant get a lift with it in the next day or two then i guess i'll be finding out

Can it wait till it's in the frame. Otherwise you risk damaging the 'new' sump.  They are pretty thin and easily dented.
