Looks like Taz's Charger's just going to be too costly & too much hassle to bring along & I'm still working on ways to transport my trike & the Pop.
Big Dog, can you confirm yet whether you'll be able to make it?
Hopefully our good friend & forum member Ian of Wyliez Customs will be bringing along something, probably his model AA truck.
So quickly totting up, I make that ...7 cars/trucks, 7 bikes & 14 trikes.
That's actually a pretty fair representation of the vehicles here on the forum I think. 28 in total & we've got 24 vehicle passes, so I'll contact the organisers & get a few more. Although they state passes must be shown at the gate, we've never had a problem & if it came to it, we could argue that several are unfinished so don't need passes! It'll be fine. Any ideas on the "seating plan"? Cars down one side, bikes down the other & trikes in the middle?
Only a couple of weeks away now &, as usual, we're completely disorganised. Loony will be supplying the marquee, which comes without instructions & defies any kind of logic, so we'll need several volunteers to wrestle with it & try to assemble it into a vaguely tent like shape please.
I'll bring along half a dozen wooden patio chairs & some MMMotors banners. Other than that, we're open to suggestions & donations.
There are food stalls onsite, but if anyone wants to bring along a barbeque, or a coolbox or rugs, or anything else you think might come in handy, please do, (cake is always welcome). I think booze is O.K onsite but would suggest if you want it, you bring your own & remember you've got to ride/drive home afterwards.
Show vehicles have to be onsite by 10.30am at the latest as the show opens at 11. People do tend to drift away early if they've got a long journey or the weather turns wet, but officially it ends at 5pm. We'll supply A4 sized information boards for each vehicle, so you can jot down basic details for the punters -owner, vehicle make, engine size etc & any points of interest, but if you want to bring your own display boards feel free. Just remember to keep them a reasonable size please.
Obviously we want you to see the rest of the show & enjoy the day, but we're known as a very hands-on display, doing our best to encourage the public to come & have a look at what we do, so it'd be nice if you can be on hand to answer any questions about your vehicle or just chat to the punters at some point please.
I think that's about it. If anyone else fancies bringing something to show, add your name to the list please. Doesn't matter if it's an unfinished project or a super shiney show machine. Everyone's welcome.
