Bit of a disaster lastnight.Kevsky stripped and cleaned the carb for me we fitted it tried to start her up.She would only start with air intake covered by my hand and then only run for a second. Also she dumped fuel out of the exhaust and carb if i turned it over for too long any suggestions?

If it's dumping fuel as you say,it sounds like float height needs setting,it's letting to much fuel through.

Change of coil would you believe it. The spark looked good when checked but there was no combustion. So on a hunch I dug up an old coil that's been kicking about the shed for a while.Immediately the spark looked stronger and now it is firing on easy start.Found another block in the carb cleared that will try to start later on today.I don't want to do it now as there is no exhaust yet and its a bit early for the neighbours. Also another disaster the engine came with about 8" of its original pipe on trying to remove it one of the bolts snapped in the head. This was the reason I decided to get rid of the original engine.Oh well we'll have to have a look at that through the week front and back brakes on and working still but waiting on my ebay tank cant really go much further without it
