bought a sip 14" chop saw 18 months ago, after 1 disc the start switch stopped starting. swapped it under warranty for another saw another sip (yes i should have realised)
now it's had 12 disc through it and the gearbox has gone, so stripped it to find ali gears with NO GREASE.

phoned the supplier but they no longer stock sip because of the returns. Angry

should have bought a dewalt

my grinders are milwaukee.  fantastic machines and with a plug on the lead so you just swap tools not leads.

i have a slow chop saw or whatever you call them. but the cost of having the blades sharpened makes them expensive to run.

Spent half an hour searching in vain in Lunatic's workshop for a hacksaw last week. Somehow he survives without one. Says he always uses grinders or chop saws. I'm gonna buy him a hacksaw just so I can use it when I go round there.

Yeah, Loony's the same. No guards on anything. Don't do this at home kids. It's not big & it's not clever. My hands are covered in grinder scars. It's only by sheer luck that I haven't lost a couple of fingers over the years.

I always use a guard. One I'm too scared not to and two Manky would kill me.

I have a body warmer to match, (was my best one  Angry). Grinding burn from when I did the first cut on the Pop. Didn't notice for a few days.

The worlds full of crazy customizers and the burnt tartan shirts mine went up in smoke when I got petrol on the sleeve and stated welding not funny at the time but I did need a new shirt anyway so I left it to burn on the garden it went to vallhala gracefully and it saved cutting the grass for a while Grin
