great news, another weekends gone by and theres no movement on the chop project. At this moment in time, ime suppose to be decorating the kitchen and dinning room. The plan was to do a bit of decorating in the dinning room on sunday morning which would leave me some time to have a few hours shaping the rolled tubes that mate up to the headstock and backbone of the chop.Ok that was the plan we made friday night. On saturday morning went to work as normal on the scooter[dont laugh],but when i came home the back end felt really soggy. When i looked at it at home the seal had gone on the rear shocker, spilling oil all over the rear wheel. No problem, just charge the battery up on the hornet and start using that one again. Mrs hornet had been out shopping for diy stuff again on saturday and had bought a new shower proclaiming"i want you to put this up instead of decorating tomorrow". It took me about 8 hours to swap this stupid shower over,i had to chisel off some tiles, move pipework for the inlet, and then re-tile it and make it look neat n tidy.So as of now,the scooters off the road ,and the hornet cuz i ay had time to even charge the battery, and ive done nothing on the project chop Angry Angry >:(just a last question. i have taken some pics of the bits n bobs, and the progress so far.would u like me to send them in soon or shall i send them in when the chops near completion round about the next millenium Undecided Undecided

Know how you feel mate -my whole life seems to follow similar lines. Not nearly enough hours in a day to get half the planned jobs done.
We'd love some pics & a write-up when Hell freezes over you finish the chop & we can show it in it's completed glory.
Untill the next millennium arrives though, why not start a new thread here & we can all take the p*ss follow the build, with interest. Wink

Finally got all the components for my brakes now.
I fitted master cyclinders without integral reservoirs, cos I planned to hide the reservoirs up under the seat, but then found the rubber hose I intended to connect them with wasn't brake fluid proof. As the trike's going through the MSVA test it needs to have fittings that comply to their standards, so if I used rubber hose it'd have to be that thick walled stuff with cord woven inside it. So I had a couple of braided hoses made up instead -which wouldn't flex enough to run inside the frame as I'd planned.
Bugger, bugger & thrice bugger.
So after playing about with it all for a couple of days, I've ended up buying 2 new cylinders, with integral reservoirs -which is what I should've done in the first place.
So yesterday I drove the 20 miles from Basingstoke to Newbury to collect the last of the banjo fittings I needed. Just as I arrived back in Basingstoke, I realised I'd forgotten to take one of the new cylinders with me & get it heli-coiled to take the in-line brake light switch.
Bugger & dammit.
So turned around & headed back to Newbury. By the time I got back I just had time to drop the bits off in my lock-up before it was time to head home to Guildford. So another day with no progress on the trike at all.  Angry I'll have another bash at it tomorrow.

well manky it sounds like you have been having a good old run around the country but at least you have sorted your dilema out , i have a pair of tanks one i think is a bsa and the other is a peanut type . both look like they would hold about the same amount of petrol but my problem is i dont know which to use , i would prefer not to use the peanut as everyone uses them but the bsa aint in that good a nick . problems, problems, problems, oh and i cant figure out what im going to do with my coils  Huh

Think the ones that are on his frame at the moment will be spare when his new ones are fitted. Pics of tanks we have as you requested VB
