Third time lucky?  Don't know if its my computer skills (or lack of them) but I've tried twice already to make this post.  I was wondering if this would work?

ural frames are thick but i think i would beef it up in that area before using as a trike, not much triangulation in that area

i don't think this will work for a swing arm.hard tail yes. if you want to use the existing swing arm pivot point on the Ural frame for your A frame to fit.  and the shock points for the suspension that will work.  but if you use points B/C for for extra pivot points then they will pull the frame. and not move with the main A frame

have a look at this

Jevi.

Point 'B' is only a mount for the rear footrests/exhausts, and is probably only lightly welded or braised. Just my 2p's worth, but how about hanging the front of your frame off a piece of plate fixed to the two engine mounting holes and brace it off the swing arm mounting point?

I had mounts off the swingarm and one bolted under the seat.

I hope this gets through that mysterious force which seems to be blocking my attempts to respond to all these comments.

The answers are - yes, its the rear, wot even if I tighten them right up and I hadn't thought about that.

To TerryT thanks for the link to MPC that's where I got the bike from.  I had looked at their werewolf trikes before I decided to try making this a three wheeler (I couldn't afford to pay for the conversion so thought I'd do it my self)

Hello Mr Plastic, you've just given me the kick I need to get back on track.  I had thought of using the swing arm pivot point as one fixing point, point B as a second and intended to extend back a touch behind where the rear mudguard/pillion mount goes and use that as a third brace point.

If I was to make the rear end again, I would build it as in the modified pic, bolted to the engine mounts where the white arrows are.

Thanks Plasticpig for the response, your idea is a good one.  I took some pics this morning before I came to work so I'll have a bit of a play around with paint on the computer and see what I can come up with.
