Nitro doesn't add power, it multiplies it! Bob Loux, running 10.07 secs @138mph on a 650 normally aspirated Triumph drag bike in 1965!

As always, some gorgeous photos of gorgeous machinery Tony. Great, informed commentary too. You could very easily create a cool coffee table book from your work. I'd buy a copy.

Friday 1st July, the first day the competitors take to the hill, so a couple of 'action' piccies in amongst the general shots. So how many horsepower should a motorcycle have.. well these guys reckon 420 sounds about right - its the MTT Streetfighter Turbine. The turbine comes from a helicopter. (reckon the pilot might be a bit pi**ed off )

The first car up the hill, a Rolls Royce, driven by Lord March (well it is his driveway, and he does organise the event).
Oh, and it was electric..........

1911 Fiat S74. Grand Prix regulations restricted engine bore, so Fiats responce was to build this with a stroke so long, the originals drivers had difficulty seeing over the bonnet. 4 cylinders and 14,200cc (so each cylinder is bigger than a complete Rover 3.5 V8) Regulations.... sound familiar?

Lola-Ford T90 'Red Ball Special' (replica). 1966 4.2 V8 indy car.
Graham Hill won Indy at his first attempt in a T90 in 1966.
Just for the record - Graham Hill is the only driver to win the so-called Triple Crown of Motorsport — 24 Hours of LeMans, Indianapolis 500 and Formula One World Championship. Not bad eh?
