The Bedford truck's finally gone as the owner wants it ready for the Dorset Steam Fair at the end of the month. Loony's still painting bits & pieces for it, but the main rolling chassis has gone, which frees up some space in the workshop. My Pop's been outside, under a tarpaulin for a couple of weeks, so now it's back in the dry. Pick-ups a go go.

Chris brought one of the Moggy Minor rear wings over to try in place. I'm amazed how well the Reliant Scimitar chassis & wheels fit under the body, though he wants to drop one size on the rear wheels to give a better choice of tyres, & drop the body another inch or two but keeping the current slightly nose down stance.

The remote gearchange will be shortened a tad, but the engine & 'box fit pretty well.

The truck was back again today for the final bits & pieces to be added. The owner's fitted all the lights, badges etc, plus the interior. It originally came in for a quick respray & tart up, but Loony ended up rebuilding the bottom 8 inches of the cab cos it'd rotted away. Must say, it looks like a completely different truck now.

Big Darren called in on his new Kwacka. Big bloke, small bike -he looks like he's shoved a kid off one of those rides outside a shop & got on it himself Very nice mate. Stood next to Loony's Triumph Speed Triple. Seems to be a bit of a green theme developing at the shop lately.

Very true, but the Trumpet has a gold sheen to it so it glows in the sunlight.
Loony's been playing with the XS again. Tom hasn't been down to the 'shop for a while, so in his absence, Loony's kinda building it his way. A change of bars & an old oil tank stood on end as a possible combined battery & electrics box.

Chris has bought a pair of universal fitting Rover V8 engine mounts from Pop Browns, so has spent the day setting the chassis up at it's proper ride height, then shuffling the engine around until it's central etc, then trimming the mounts to suit, ready for Loony to weld them in place.
