Fellow forumer, SkaMan spends his weekends grass track racing. So does his son Chris. And now so does his grandson Callum. At only 14 years old, he's just bought his own car, (a 1000cc Citroen AX). He'd never driven before but after 2 hours of instruction was soon flying around the local banger track. As a juvenile amateur he has to have a passenger for his first few races. A great way to channel all that youthful energy. Cool kid!
In for some extra roll cage tubing & gussetting.

Banded, (widened), steel wheels on a Citroen Saxo, given a coat of very bright Saxo blue & gloss black. Certainly makes 'em stand out.

Anyone remember Flap's Reliant trike? Put together by Mr Flap & myself many years ago, it was featured in Back Street Heroes magazine & picked up several Best Trike trophies. Sadly though, Flappy Boy no longer has the time to ride it & it's been languishing, sad & forlorn, in the back of Loony's workshop for nearly 3 years now. Eventually he decided to sell & I'm happy to say, it's going to a new home with another forum member.
So Loony & friends have fettled the seized up brakes, bunged in a new battery & plugs & wiped the worst of the paint overspray off that oh so orange powdercoat. Terry T's MOTing his own trike next week, so has volunteered to take the Flapster down to Portsmouth in his van to put a ticket on it too.
Today was the first time I've seen the ol' Flapster move under it's own steam for a couple of years.
Sad to see it go, but Darren needed the money, Loony needed the workshop space & that trike needs to be ridden.
So long old friend.  Wink

Let's hope Terry brings your new toy back again then Dizzy!  Grin
Hasn't been run for several years so could definitely do with a good check over & a few gentle local runs before you start planning that coast to coast road trip. Enjoy!
