It's too hot !

Yeah, not so clever when you're lugging bags of Mail around the streets at the height of the morning heat though. 
Had a torrential downpour this morning -black skies, thunder, lightning. The works. It's cleared the air a bit but still hard work delivering in it. Was actually nice to pound the streets without a jacket on & get wet!

  My postie turned up today all bedraggled and slightly miffed as it keeped tipping down but the sky never gave any indication that it was about to rain.

It made me think that it must be a mare of a job in the winter.

Yeah, everyone says how lucky we are to be outside in the sunshine, but they never say it when we're stood on their doorstep in the pouring rain, holding their soggy parcels.
