After seeing the miniature V8 (Tyre tread)? I went on Google and typed "Miniature Engines". Amazing. Have a go. You'll have to wade through a few steam engines, but they're there. The coin is a Nickel. He's built a running 4 the size of a fag packet. This pic is from a site called "Ken's Miniature Engines".

Some people are just too damn clever aren't they! I struggle to get full size engines working.

His workshop is nearly as clean as mine. Is it 1/10th scale?

Nice,

How about a Pulse Jet ?

Have had these plans on my computer for a while now, was going to build a miniture one of these, one day.

Also have many other plans and other useful tech data on the subject.

There used to be a Glow plug V8 on sale in the "States" bit pricey tho' but nice, the last engine I built was a "Jenny Wren" Steam engine, it was the smallest steam engine I have ever seen at about 4" tall and used a thimble for the meths, boiler took about 6 thimbles of water.

Mad Richard got some plans off the Internet on how to convert a turbocharger into a rocket motor. He built one. I'll see if I can get him to come on and tell you what happened. It worked!!!!!

There is a shop about a mile from me that I discovered last year. It's Called Sert Precision Tools and is run buy a bloke in his late 80's called Bert! He started and ran mountfield mowers for years but sold it for a vast amount many years ago. He runs this shop for fun and has done for 23yrs!!!!!!!. He does it for a hobby and makes no money from it.

He buys up surplus machine tools and related equipment and sells it to the likes of me!!!!! He has a good supply of Alli bronze copper and steel for the small engineering jobs and aslo has every kind of milling and drilling head you can imagine. Grin

It's an Aladins cave!!

He also is a top notch engineer and made the engines you see below. (best pics I could get.

He is also building a replica of a Riley. Full size and has hand made evry single part except the tyres!!! That includes the engine and gearbox   Shocked

If there are any tools that you need let me know I will see if he has what you need.
