"back on the subject of weather, 37C today"

working on our front window today, by strange coincidence it was also 37 degrees , unfortunately it was Fahrenheit , remember , minus 32 divide by  nine multiply by five , thank you Dad , anyway , equals , bastard cold.

2.7 for those that can't be arsed , and yes I had waited until the sun came round

We've had heavy snow here in Surrey every night this week. About 6 inches now. I have a 30 or 40 mile commute to work at 5.30 every morning. My workmates were suprised I made it in yesterday. I'm a Postie in Basingstoke, Hampshire. We were told to stay in the sorting office, sorting the mail until lunchtime, then sent out to deliver the large parcels & as much of our deliveries as we could, (about a quarter of the normal round). We simply couldn't drive up a lot of the roads because of the ice.
Today was my day off & I'd planned to go back to Basingstoke to work on my truck project as usual, but Taz's stable girls couldn't get into work, so I spent my day shovelling horse poo & breaking the ice on water troughs out in the fields with a pick-axe. The joys of country life.
