I think this is one of the subjects we lost when the forum crashed.
My brother Steve bought himself a bloomin' great mobile library van for 1800 quid from Ebay. He's converting it into a transporter for his drag car.  This weekend's job is cutting the arse end out & fitting a drop down ramp so he can drive the car up into it Italian Job style. The thing's hooge -about twice the size of my flat & will be kitted out with workshop & living space as well. Hope he's going to get it sprayed up with his race logo down the sides. It'll look awsome thundering along the motorways to race meets.
Looks like something out of ThunderBirds doesn't it!

Um, with all due respect to Steve, no. It looks like a mobile library.  Cool

Hello young Wizz. I've missed you. Where you been?
Doesn't really show in that piccie, but that thing's absolutely enormous. Steve's due back on the track at the Nostalgia Nationals at Avon Park in a couple of weeks after a top end rebuild on the car. Don't know if the new transporter will be there. I'm sure it'll be easy to spot & no doubt will have a kettle on board should you come across it.

Where have I been? Work-work-work-Shires-ProCustom-work-work-work-Farmyard etc. Got home at 4.30am this morning 'cause I have two features to write before tomorrow.

Not sure when I'm going to be able to get to a meet next (which is galling as the splendid NSRA has invited me to and given me a guest pass for all its events this year), but the next month is booked already.  Sad

Ooh, you lucky so & so! Cost me 15 quid last time I went to Avon Park ...sorry, Shakespeare County Raceway -stupid, stupid name. Mind you, I've been late in the day a couple of times when the gate's been deserted & I've just ridden in.
Still doing the Diamond Day do? How was the Farmyard Party?

Here's my transporter.....errrrr......well, it's actually my missus's horsebox, but it's sort of mine too. Had a new sign made to cover "Horses" on the front. It often has an "Iron Horse" in the back.

Where'd you get the sign done Chris? Is that printed aluminium or sticky vinyl?
So how's the Indian going then? You pleased with it?

Sticky vinyl on perspex. Mate works for a sign company. I suppose I am quite pleased with the old bike!

Ooh, you lucky so & so!

Not so much luck as twelve years working in a trade to the point where people are kind enough to issue such invitations.
