Event location: Lynwood, Ascot, Berksire SL5 0AJ
Category: Local and Community Events
Date: 26th Jun 2010
Event time: 12:30 to 16:30
We look forward to seeing you at this year's Lynwood Summer Fete which promises to be a fun-filled day out!
There will be entertainment for all the family, including a range of stalls, tombolas and raffles.  Tea, ice cream, food from the barbecue and other refreshments will be available.
The 41st Paul Finn Vintage and Classic Car Rally will also be taking place and is always a great success.
For those who'd like to see the cars going through their paces, the rally will start from Car Park 10 at Ascot Race Course, travel through Windsor Great Park, out by Blacknest Gate and finish at Lynwood.
Whether you decide to watch them en route or await their arrival at Lynwood, this is the perfect opportunity to appreciate these beautifully preserved vehicles.

Imagine a friendly fete in the leafy grounds of a big house, ice cream stalls, birds of prey, bookstalls, BBQ, music, miniature railway etc etc, and then add 120 or so classic/vintage cars, and a couple of dozen motorcycles, all from pre 1900 up to 1970, and you have the Lynwood Summer Fete, in the village of Sunninghill on the B383 (just off the A30) and close to Ascot in Berkshire.

Most of the vehicles will have been on a 20 mile excursion prior to the fete, and if last year is anything to go by, on wonderful route, as many parts of Windsor Great Park were opened especially to allow us to drive/ride through.

I’ve been going to this event on and off for 20 years or so, and the standard and spectrum of vehicles is always very impressive (note, its purely classic & vintage, so you won’t get any rods).

And of course, “it’s all for charity”
