I have been kicked off the mopar muscle association board.
Get this for the last few years i have had nothing but pith taking,at first it was funny but then it started to get boring,personal attacks such as my lack of education,my weight etc etc,the final straw was within the last couple of days,one of the guys has been basically telling me that bentleys are better than muscle cars,[wether they are or not aint the issue] he also owns a couple,he posted up a thread asking for "71-74 roadrunners to be cut up and post on youtube" a few people replied with some other cars he then said "sorry i should have said 72 with the ugly front end like simon's" i asked if there was any need for that he did not reply anyway i cant rememeber what he said next but i said why dont you use a bently instead he said "neah i want to use a complete eefing piss of ship" blah blah completly and utterly trashing my car
Well i went mental calling him all names under the sun [these personal attacks from just him have been going on almost a year] i went absolutly mental i mean yeah fair play for kicking me off the site,but what is the point we are all there for the same hobby,why trash somones car,somones personal life etc etc as far as im concernd its as good as bullying

Thats crap mate.
This is the only forum that I post on. Too many opinionated wankers on other forums who wouldnt know one end of a spanner from the other, yet will still tell you how wrong you or you car is. Ive got quite fed up with forums lately, they seem to be full of moaners!

just cant understand people at times. One mans meat is another mans poison,,and just because someone does,nt particulary like one thing or another,that does,nt give em the right to slag off anybodies intrest, pastimes, machines ,or any kind of hobby they have.

i'm a member of a car club and the last couple of years have had a stand at an indoor show. we (our little collection withhin the club) decided we would only put used cars on 'our' stand in competition to the official stand. last year when we turned up one of the club officials said ''i didn't know you were coming'' i said '' we thought we'd keep it as a surprise'' the reply was ''we don't like surprises like that''. that made the day even better  . this year we were blanked by them, but we came 3rd and they got nowt then i got the award for services to the club. if that's the way the mma want to carry on then ignore 'em. if we all liked the same thing it would be a really boring world. |

I am really glad i am out of there,i think you can easily get wrapped up in what the club thinks the ways should be and ideas etc,when really we should all be in the hobby for our own reasons,me personally is the injoyment of the car,peoples reaction and excitment about seeing the car on the street gives me a huge buzz,and making freinds with like minded people. I have seen the MMA in a completly different light in the last couple of years or so,and its a real shame because as mopars go that is it for the uk. From what i have seen the cheeky manky monkies certainly are the most relaxed,long live this great small group of people  |

I again dont post elsewhere so cant really comment on the protacols of other forums. When we post anything its open to comment from all members of a forum, some wiil like what we do, others wont, everyone is different and will have different opinions, thats what makes it interesting. There will also be personality clashes within forums, some people you`ll take to more than others and they to you. Constructive criticism should always be welcomed and sometimes heeded, negative opinions although never welcomed also have the same right to be aired. Slaiting someone personally and publicly should never be allowed though,cheeky is one thing, abusive is another. I would have thought that its the job of the admin to review whatever has gone beforehand and make an unbiased decision as to what action should be taken.

Yeah must admit i do feel at home with the "misfits" lol
I suppose opinion are like arsholes,and i can take a joke or banter just like the next man,but regardless of what everyone else thinks of it that car is my life,i spend what little money i have making it better.
But never mind its done now,just wanted to have a bit of a rant.
I cannot wait for the new season to start woohoo

Christ Si that's not fare. Hope they got rid of the other guy, (PM me if you want). I only joined the MMA because as you say it's the only place in the UK to get advice on a car that I love and want to get back on the road, (for me to enjoy how I want). I don't go on there much anymore but have it notify me by email if someone writes in my thread. I occasionaly browse the for sale section but that's about it. I love the cars for what they are and can't be bothered with the "who has the bigger engine" or "who's spent how much". You are always welcome here any time and you have my number so give us a shout if you need something, (so long as it's not money or Andy's body and you aint getting them ) Chin up and enjoy life doing what you want when you want and how you want. |

Thanks tanya i will have to give you a ring and catch up soon.I dont think they will be getting rid of the other guy,as the mods do not feel any need,they obviously saw the funny side of it as they were not the butt of the jokes and bullying. In the meantime im just looking forward to being a monkey |

Sounds like someone needs to start a new friendly forum for those cars!
It just wouldn't happen here, not only cos the people who join tend to be open-minded sorts who are interested in lots of different vehicles but because Andy and Tanya just wouldn't have it!
