Hi,

Tinga and Tucker.  I was in their club and still have my boomerang and badge.  Anyone else remember these along with Auntie Jean and of course Willie Wombat.  This was my nickname (probably shouldn't admit to this on-line) because when tickled I would say (and actually still do) "don't tickle me", just like Willie Wombat used to say to Auntie Jean.  Embarrassed  I was also in the Bazooka Joe club (thanks Nomad for remembering this because not many people seem to when I mention it) and I probably still have the secret code book somewhere.  I also have my Blue Peter badge.

Bagpuss was neat - I found this link - it is really something as I liked this song.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDa3j_53FUo

I was madly in love with Captain Scarlet and absolutely adored the original theme tune - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwJWr_Zk1R8.  Spectrum is Green!  I still like to watch it and still find the voice of the Mysterons a little creepy.

Mr Benn, the hair bear bunch, banana splits, arabian nights Smiley
Mr Benn was definitely out there - I wonder what his creator was smoking. I used to like the music to that and lately it has been used on another program http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVFcIJWe0zE.

I used to love Banana Splits http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vS8RVkaIM9c, especially those little girls who used to get up and dance but I can't find a clip of that.  Arabian Nights - I liked the donkey Zazoom.  And I wanted to be a Double Decker - well who didn't? - Oh Sticks you were cute  Kiss  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FNFd4GX3QPM.

I also liked Follyfoot - more the credits than the actual program - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVgyxhe849k and White Horses - again that theme.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZXzmGTR0GQ

I too liked Fireball XL5, Tbone.  I think we still have an annual at my Mums.  I adored Zoonie the Lazoon.  I was very young when this was on and it was watched more so by my big brothers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXGGuqXB8h4

Captain Pugwash was always a favourite in our house bacause my Dad had some tattoos and one was just like the Black Pig - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpIlLqfd_xI.

What about Top Cat - haven't seen this mentioned.  Still like to watch it.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykRZbOb1c5c  The same goes for Bewitched.  It is still good even though it is obviously sixties. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihuQFnuxhkY  Elizabeth Montgomery was lovely.

and how can you forget trumpton???  Grin
I can't, especially Pugh, Pugh, Barney Magrew, Cuthbert, Dibble and Grub - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3P5wcCuNZbY

It is nice to share these memories with each other - I could keep going but I had best not.  I have had a rough night - I think I am coming down with something - so I have been on the computer a fair bit.  Writing this post, I have definitely noticed a theme - I was obviously drawn by the music to most of the above programmes and it has been fun finding them and listening to them again.  Just to finish, here is a link to a medley of tunes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jHvA8qMy58

Enjoy, JJ  Grin

Ah the Woodentops!

I saw a cuddly dalmation toy at the weekend and commented 'and the biggest spotty dog you ever saw' - and they didn't know what I meant!

I know what you mean, BG, I've got a really cuddly, bouncy, full of fun and mischief, real one, 8 months old and full of herself. She thinks that people are only put on the planet to make a fuss of her!!!!
A real cool pup (but they all are really!!!!!)

Lets keep this thread going! Did anyone see the wacky races display on the cricket pitch at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year? The sky was really blue on the friday afternoon and it felt like was in the cartoon as i was looking around it! Oh and does anyone remember the pingwings, got a vague memory of some clangerlike creatures but in a village or a farm? And how come no one has mentioned the Monkees yet???!!!
