That last one's nice Bobbi.
Not sure why they're so attracted to purple Buddleia, but it's also known as the Butterfly Bush. We've got several in our garden that bring in one or two flutter bys, but there's a huge Buddleia on my postal delivery that's swarming with them. They take off in a huge orange cloud as I walk past. Nice to see them -makes it seem more Summery somehow.

It's interesting that usually we get lots of Small Tortoiseshells and quite a lot of Red Admirals and Peacocks, and very occasionally a Painted Lady.

This year there are dozens of Painted Ladies, several Peacocks, a few Torties and no Red Admirals at all in spite of my keeping a patch of nettles in the garden for them to breed on.

Oh and quite a lot of the white ones whose name I forget, we usually only have a few of those.

Erm yes, but that isn't actually their proper name - it's 'Green-veined White' apparently!
