I like the second flames but -honest opinion- think they clash a little with the graphics. Maybe you should try some sort of pinstripe design? Or pixellated dots to mirror the newsprint graphic style? How about black, white & blue graphics to tie them in with the flames?

Yeah, that's better. Got to use the same colours in the flames & the piccies or it clashes. How you gonna paint the graphics? Airbrush? vinyls?

Not decided on that, seeing as it's a rat rod type of thing probably hand painted Smiley might go for a full front flame job yet, still mulling over ideas really.
