i organised a run last year that was a good crack so im doing another this year - figured some of you lot might be interested in it, there were about 15 last year and it pissed it down all the way - was a tough ride but good fun. i have put it back to september this year and heading south not north - between them 2 things hopefully it might be a dry one - heres the bumf

Thursday 10th - Sunday 13th September 2009

Tipple Run 2009 is in the planning stages and its looking like being the year of the cider.

Same deal as last year - This is a chill out and party kind of deal, no attitudes, no fees, no promises. If you don’t expect much then you'll come away happy

If you think your bike has a fighting chance of making the run then you are welcome. If you like building and fixing cool stuff its probably your kind of thing, be it on a supercharged trike, an old brit restoration or anything in between. If you are more of the weekend power-ranger brigade then its most likely not for you.

THIS IS NOT A RALLY... as the name suggests its a RUN - its about the riding then party when we get to destination. There are no bands put on or entertainment of any sort. Ride your bike make your own fun.

You need to look after yourself and your own bike - there wont be anyone behind you to pick you up if you break down.

Preliminary route for Tipple Run 09, split over 3 days depending where we find suitable camp sites. Leaving you the sunday to get home from Hastings. This may change some but its the bones of it. The route will be pre-run in the spring and finalised and real info sorted. We are looking at around 200 miles a day.

feel free join on where ever you like. like i say - its not a big organised thing - think of it as more of a freeform jazz kind of run  Grin

when ive got the sites sorted it will make it easier for you to plan then if you arent doing the whole thing

me and tiny spent 20 hours riding some great roads this weekend, about 5 hours of which were crap so we have taken them out and changed things up some

heres the team that rode the s**t so you dont have to, us getting in the way of the scenery up on Dartmoor

i didnt take many pics because we were enjoying the ride and looking out for cows, sheep and horses in the road

we had 1 flock of sheep in the road, 3 or 4 cow incidents and maybe 5 ponys - eyes peeled but was amusing, and they dont give a s**t - they just stand there and look at you

heres the amended map with a few detours and a few little extras thrown in for good measure.

slight change to run - pre-night drinkypoos and site have moved down to cirencester due to campsite issues when i had a visit there this weekend. [dont seem to like hairy bikers - they seemed to think it was something like a BMW owners group organised event or the likes...]

America?! You lucky, lucky b*stard.
Have a great time Sumo -bring us back some Charger parts for Taz's car will ya.  Wink A new steering wheel would be nice. And a complete wiring loom. And some shocks. And a disc brake conversion. And...And...And...
Guess we'll have to settle for a virtual postcard then.
Check in & make us all jealous if you manage to get online over there. Have a nice trip.  Smiley
