Mmm, I remember them! Always wanted a custom Transit or Bedford CF when I was at school. Then I left & needed transport for my apprenticeship, bought a little bike & the rest, as they say, is a living nightmare -I mean, history. Used to be a shop just called "The Van Shop". Sold the porthole windows, "Thrush" side pipes, captain's swivel seats, shagpile carpet etc. Oh so tasteful! Steve Stringer the van buuilding maestro, (remember "Arabian Knights" & that green one with the mural of a cartoon vulture on the side?), came up in conversation with my brother recently. He's a concept car designer in the States now.
