Heh heh! That's a common ruse -he's hoping you'll tip him. Probably picked out a couple of dozen of the most likely generous types. We've got several guys who do it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Always worth a try if you deliver to an affluent area. Mine has turned into bedsit land in the last couple of years. Lots of old Victorian houses that used to have families in are now flats full of asylum seekers & Polish immigrant workers, so a waste of time appealing to their good natures. Most don't even speak English.
My day off today so I've enjoyed a very pleasant lie-in for a change. Back to work on Wednesday.

Nothing affluent looking about our house, not been painted for years and two old bangers parked on the grass.........

Just wanting votes in the 'best postie' comp I spect.  Didn't get 'em, anyway - man delivers our post, that's what he's paid for innit?  No-one gives me a prize for doing my job?

Oh well, virtually the same to you!

We survived Christmas day at my daughter's - it would have been fine only she's preganant and suffering from high blood pressure and as a result she feels hot all the time - so she kept opening windows and doors and we were freezing cold all day, as a result, today me and Mike are aching all over!  But it was nice to spend the day with family.

And I got a hangover which I didn't deserve, cos I was designated driver and drank very little!  So I had a lazy day today, apart from a mercifully bried visit from our our hyperactive grandson and his mum!
