CHARITY MOTORBIKE RIDE

Sunday 21st  December 2008
 
In aid of the DORSET & SOMERSET AIR AMBULANCE

 Starting from Swanage sea front to ‘The Sandford’, Sandford Road, A351 Nr Wareham


The Dorset Motorcycle Enthusiasts Club would like to welcome all bikers to their annual Mistletoe Charity Run. 
Assemble on Swanage Sea Front by 11.00am for 11.15am start for the run back to ‘The Sandford’Pub , A351, Sandford Road, for complementary hot refreshments, lots of chat and raffle etc.  The length of the run will be adjusted to suit the weather conditions on the day.  The run is open to all powered two and three wheelers and is free to enter with a suggested minimum donation of £5 per bike.  Donation forms are also available for your friends to contribute, ask a DMEC member or the contacts below.
If you cannot make the run but would like to support the cause, come along to ‘The Sandford’, Sandford Road - on the A351 towards Wareham from Poole - at around midday for the fun and raffle.

hi everbody i belong to a group of bikers that do the same sort of thing in the northeast we are called the boundary 500 we have just had our presentation evening were we gave a cheque to the airambulance to the amount of £46.755.50p and our total over the past 2 years has been £134.755.50p In 2007 we lost one of our riders, John Toner when a drunken car driver who is now serving a three-year jail sentence killed him.we also have a memorial ride to get funds for his wife and 2 children it also coinseds with our second charity ZOO'S PLACE  which is a children hospice were the recieve round the clock attencion the age range is between 1-5   Were the amount now taken for the both over the last 2 years is £31,215 our total of the 2 years for all concerned is £166,203.50p if you would like to look at our web site is www.boundary500

In fact your 'Boundary 500' is rather different (apart from being a fund-raiser of course!  Smiley ) as there is nothing challenging about our run apart from turning out on what I can almost promise will be a cold morning! - if it's not cold then it will prolly be cos it's raining!
