Rainbow bought the rear tyres for her trike project last week. tyresdirect.com I think.  205/55/15s. 25 quid each.

i never even thought about tyres when i had the wheels imported but
once here did you think i could find any, could i buggery
most places could only offer up a piddly 265 (to go on a 12" rim)
someone suggested northants tyres
so i phoned em up and asked what the biggest tyre you can put on a 12" rim

and they said
well sir we have a pair of 445 x 50 x 15's here
so i went down
laughed at the sheer size

and promptly handed over my credit card Grin Grin Grin

Flap's got 265s on his trike. Bought, unused, already fitted on a pair of old Wolfrace slot mags, with the right bolt pattern for the Reliant axle, at Beaulieu autojumble for 200 quid the pair. A bugger to roll all the way back to the carpark though. My trike's tyres came from Northants Tyres. They're only 10 miles from here in Fleet, Hants. I'll be going there for the tall skinny Coker whitewall truck tyres for my hotrod project. They've got a shop full of period custom car parts from the States. Worth a browse around if you're in the area.
I think you should give your credit card to me for safe keeping mate. I'd spend less on it than you do!

Nah, Yoda's a cheapskate really you know - he was telling us elsewhere - when folks were suggesting all kinds of things to do to it - that his wheelchair cost £3000 - was talking to a bloke today whose chair cost.......

Seriously, it's an amazing bit of kit!  I've only spoken to him a couple of times but he did perform specially for me, when I get to know him a bit better I shall ask if I can phot him performing!

be very careful if yer going to use burgermans plans yoda the solies he recomends are crap when compared to what ny-trex uses......and theyre dire when compared to highpower ones  ;)lets not even get into the phase change problems associated with using generic plumbing fittings.it is a very interesting site that i perused a few years ago. though looks much better today....

even if you did i wouldnt recomend burgermans stuff on any engine you want to keep for a while..... Grin
