This is not actually a commercial link, but it's certainly board relevant. I'm always amazed how many bikers have never heard of NABD
It's the
National Association for Bikers with a DisabilityIts a registered charity whose stated aim is "to help disabled people enjoy the freedom and fun of motorcycling"
To that end, the NABD supplies information about adapting bikes and trikes, and about getting a licence, and also raises money to give grants to disabled people to adapt bikes and trikes so they can ride them. The only paid employee of the NABD is the office administrator, whose salary is partially funded by a lottery grant.
You don't have to be disabled to join! In fact, we need lots of able-bodied riders to join - your subs help to run the organisation so that all the funds that are raised by other means can be used to help disabled people to get on the road, and also you can help at events to raise that money.
See more about the NABD
here and join online.
And if you have shopping to do, have a look at our
Affiliate Shop - this is not just for bike stuff but all sorts! Have a look here first - you pay the same and the NABD gets a contribution!
