Cool!
Or not. Who built that Dracken? And has anyone shown it to Lunatic, our resident VW buff yet?

it looks like a show queen to me, besides overheating due to thee increased temp caused by the blower, cop a look at the driveshaft angles, done so the rear wheels could be moved rearward

Ive seen that before. It looks kool, but I would think it would get rather hot! Do blowers make alot of heat? They are only two rotors driven by a belt. Anyway, our Vw trike used to boil off the fuel in the float chambers of the carbs when it was stationary before we put a full cooling system on it! Better keep it moving then!

the very process of compressing air heats it up. not so bad if you run on alcohol, but petrol engines will run hotter. i used to use a timed water injector on my 455 pontiac and that was under driven, that is the blower pully was larger than the crank pulley. that blower above is over driven, i think it's all show

The driveshafts aint too clever, but the blower's not a problem. I used to run a supercharged VW trike myself, with no cowlings, and it never overheated. Just bear in mind that the standard motor sits under a lid with poor airflow, but on a trike, it's fully air cooled with no obstructions.

I've always wondered Chris -how much power do you actually gain with a charger like that? Looks impressive but how much extra oomph do you get?

The air cooling system has been removed to allow the S/C to fit, so it will overheat very quickly unless you are traveling at speed.

If you move at any speed the drive shafts will run the UJ in about 1/2 hr so its for display mainly I reckon to showcase some builders work.

Looks the dogs nuggets though.
