I had an email from them this morning.

Hi,

Nik (our Editor) featured one of your Trikes in a recent issue and I've had
a gentleman on the phone who's interested in buying one. I know you're not a
business but I said I'd try to get in touch with you. Do you sell them?
would like his contact details so you can get in touch with him?

Best regards,

Louise

The answer's no, we're not a business & haven't got the facilities, time or money to build to order, but I was curious as to what they meant by "featured". The last trike I had on the road was featured in Back Street Heroes, as was Flap's. My last one is now Ska Man's & I doubt they'd feature it if it's already been in a rival mag. Which leaves Simon's black one or Critch's. As far as I know, Critch is still collecting parts for the rolling chassis we built him & I haven't heard from Simon in a while but know his trike's off the road for a Winter re-wire & tidy up.
Someone posted here that they'd seen a shot of Flap's in the Reader's Photos bit a while back. Maybe they meant that. I left the 100% Biker forum & cancelled my subscription to the mag a year or so ago after comments about Wizzkit, Yoda & myself by Nik on their forum, so certainly wouldn't give them a trike to feature or buy their "Trike" magazine.
Curious though.

 Grin
No scandal I'm afraid.
Just that Nik claimed credit for finding a feature bike for 100%. I pointed out that Pat, the previous editor had spotted it on Yoda's site where he'd reproduced the feature that's on here. Nik insisted they'd found it all by themselves. Yoda confirmed it was via his site. Wizzkit, (Blue from BSH), waded in with confirmation that Pat had mentioned it to her etc, etc. Nik refused to admit he was wrong & ended up basically calling us a bunch of liars -at which point I left.
A silly, trivial matter, but just confirmed a few other people's already stated opinion that the bloke's an a*se, so when he arrived at our stand at this year's Shepton Mallet show, (while I was elsewhere in the hall), & tried to nab Flap's trike for a cover feature, I was more than happy to let him know it was already promised to BSH.
I've said before that I wouldn't air that here cos we is a fluffy, happy little forum, but there ya go. You did ask.  Wink

I refuse to buy the trike magazine on the grounds that it was stated that trikes would still appear in 100% magazine
and guess what

not one has appeared

I'll check with Jacko, as he has the trike magazine on subscription.

SORRY if we've upset anyone by buying this, we honestly didn't know about the "nastiness" thats been going on in the background.

No nastiness Janie. I doubt Nik's even aware of it & there's far more important things in life. I was just explaining why I haven't read the mag in question so wasn't sure whether we'd been "featured" or just had a snapshot of one of the trikes in there somewhere.
Fluffiness at all times here. Kiss

I spotted the mention in the last Trike mag,  there was`nt a feature as such,  just a picture of a blue trike(ska mans I think) which looked as if it had been taken at a show somewhere, and a mention on how brillant the MMM trike builders were.

Ahh yes, I remember now. Was that issue 3? I think Flap's was somewhere in issue 2.
I spose I'd better send 'em a quick reply then. I've looked for "Trike" on the Magazine Man's stand at various shows, just to have a browse, but never seen it.
