I saw something on TV about tar barrels in Devon - think it was in Ottery St Mary.  Quite terrifying in fact - they set the barrels of tar on fire and then dash through the town carrying them on their shoulders!

The Barrel Burning at Ottery St Marys is an excellent evening been several times but you need to be fit cos they don't stop if you get in the way.

Nutters with large barrels of Tar and Straw runnng through crowded streets pssed off their heads.

thanks for the reply peeps sounds pretty much to where hes headed as he is a big muscle bound burly sod maybe right up his street ,suppose ill have to wait till tues for the ins an outs of his travels  Cheesy
