Don't joke about it mate. I've been there once or twice. Fortunately Taz's more of a petrolhead than I am. So what size tube have you gone for in the end?

tubing is gonna be 47.6 od dia 4.06 wall so that should hold it, for mock up i will use the girders i got but i may have to get Mick to make some tube ones up with a shorter length, if u saw the mock up pic u can see im running out of space

That's some big ol' tube! Same size we use for the top tubes on our trike frames I think, (about 1 1/2 inch bore). We can't bend it more than about 45 degrees in our cheap hydraulic bender without it kinking & flattening the tube on the bend. Fortunately for top tubes we don't have to bend that far, only a curve at the back end. Occasionally the rollers of the bender leave indents on the inside of the curve, which we just fill with weld & sand smooth. Looking forward to watching your frame come together matey.

well its gonna be based on the mankie frame m8, i may have to compromise at the back end a bit but we'll see bore on the tube is 39mm i think so inch and 5 eights so same as yer top bar as u say. ive just bought some box too gonna make a trolley thing for it to sit on otherwise it will be hoist every time i wanna move it...Oh and the best news is my misses is gonna allow me to bring the engine in da house ) so i work on it in the warm "she's a petrol head of sorts too"

What a good woman VB! hope she got lots of treats on Valentine's day!
My hubby doesn't understand why the trike and bikes are in the garage while his car has to sit outside. Or why there's a chrome mudguard and some fork tubes in the downstairs loo.......
Or an old bike in my pottery shed in the garden.....

Might have a problem taking it to 90 degrees then. There is a firm in Caerphilly that will bend stuff for you, but I don't know how much they would charge per bend.

We'll be heading the other way over the weekend, to collect Taz's forks from FLC in Rotherham. Wonder how many miles we do between us all, criss-crossing the country.
