Hi
I would just like to say a huge thankyou to Lunatic and Pete who spent the day crewing for us.I'd forgotten how much easier it is with someone else helping me push.Hope you enjoyed being that much closer to the action.Anytime your at the track come and say hi,we can always do with and extra pair of hands.
Thanks also for helping us to pack up,we usually manage the pit tent on our own but a bit windy today,I had visions of it taking off as soon as we unsecured it.Thanks also to Taz and Mankey for their help in packing up.

Hi Lesley, (Mrs Brock). Nice to see you here instead of 'im  Grin
We all had a fabulous day at t' races thank you. Loony & Pete seemed to enjoy standing about in the fire up lane, looking important. Thanks for sorting their crew passes for them.  Wink
Very tired, sunburnt & feeling like we've been shotblasted by the wind & ensuing dust storm, so a full photo gallery online tomorrow.
Meanwhile here's a snap of the track:

And Tazzie got to go for a blast in a Dodge Charger.
Many thanks to the owner, who's name we didn't catch, who'd only slowed down so I could take his photo -& ended up being persuaded to take Taz for a spin around the campsite, (O.K, he didn't take much persuading).

what a cracking shot that first one is, if only the black Charger had been in the far lane. Add my thanks, it really makes a difference to have a little help at the Manic Time, just before the run,

Absolutly fantastic day and I think it made it just that bit better helping out. The Jet car was truly awesome to watch, but crunching on grit filled coffee was not so much fun. We flitted about from the stands watching the racing, to the car park and round to the pits. Lots to see. Photos are great but you can't capture the truly wonderful sounds of all the muscly engines and the heat from the jet car's flame.
Also most of the drivers had Pink ribbons tied to their vehicles in memory of Rhianne,  the daughter of one of the drivers. Brock can probably tell you more.

Thanks steve and Lesley for letting P.D and I hang around and get in the way! Made our day, plus it was the first time Pete has been to the drags! Nice to see what life is like on the other side of the fence! Expect to see us at most meetings now! Grin
