Market Square, High Street, Alton, Hampshire.

10am - 3/4pm

One of the bands playing is B17s.

Got this snippet of info from Rocker Steve, and I'm afraid this is all I have.  I missed out on this a couple of years ago but according to the write up at the time, in Best of British Magazine - looks like I missed out on a bloody good day out.  Everything 50s - just the sort of nostalgic injection I thrive on.  Music, cars, bikes.   Lads and ladies all dressed up in the fashion of that era.  I shall definately be there on Saturday armed with my camera.

Look who I bumped into - having a great time!

Thanks for the dinner, Rick.  Our treat next time!  If you're at Popham on Monday, look out for Dave in the Consul.

Piccies on their way Andy, after I've done the Fleet Lions on Monday.

There was a photographer also at Alton on Saturday, who must have taken about 600 pictures, I've just checked his website to see if he's loaded them - worth taking a look at - but be warned - make a cup of tea while they're downloading - it takes a while.  There are also 8 piccies of Connie!  He is also selling DVDs of the day, which Dave has requested a copy of.

Rick - you and I can be seen in the background while Marilyn was singing.

Rick - here we are.   By the way, seeing as Dave and I were stuck at work in the morning and arrived in Alton lunchtime - this is the crowd Dave had to drive round!!!

Enjoyed reading your write up Rick, it was good.

We'll have to look out for this again next year and make a note of it here for everyone else.

I've missed it two years running now!
Any idea when the 40s day is Janie?
