Just announced...……..

Was lucky enough to see him, with the Splinter Group, at their public debut at an early Guilfest, introduced by whispering Bob Harris, and then at various local venues.

There was a prog on him the other night, pretty much a docu of the biography by a young (ish) chap who helped him kick his mind numbing meds into touch. I must admit I never knew he was that much of a genius, but the stuff he wrote was epic and timeless. Good docu ad well. Shame the guy spent 20 plus years in a stupor.

That was a documentary from 2009.

There was an earlier TV documentary (prob 1995 or 1996) which basically culminated in him and The Splinter Group doing a very small (sort of village/church hall) gig, as a sort of lead up to them playing the Guildford Folk & Blues Festival (later called Guilfest) in 1996.
The band included Cozy Powell, and Neil Murray (Whitesnake)

I saw the prog, went to the festival and made my way to about 6 rows back from the stage. 'Whispering' Bob Harris came on to give a heartfelt welcome and introduce Peter and the band.

Here's a 1996 BBC doc, that includes the Guilfest gig, which gives a further insight into Peter Green, and his friends.
