Hi guy's

Am aware that if using a reliant axle you need to flip it over but what about an old Ford Escort/Capri axle? can someone tell me what direction the go? and please tell me if this is looking from the back or from the front as I am easily confused.

cheers

I think it depends what bike engine you're using, but someone will confirm.

Well I am no expert by any means, but if your axle turns clockwise in all forward gears you should be ok?🤔

As BG said, require direction of rotation depends on the engine. As far as I'm aware, Honda have the shaft on the RH side while Suzuki, Kawasaki and Yamaha have the drive shaft on the LH side. This means that the Honda shaft rotates in the opposite direction to the norm.
Most inline car engines (not all) rotate in a clockwise direction when viewed from the front and the props do the same. This is why when triking a Honda the axle has to be flipped. The ford axle input rotates the same as the Reliant. Clockwise when looking at the input flange.

Sorry Olds.  You don't need to flip the axle on a honda. You do on the others you mentioned. so a reliant axle and if ford ones rotate the same then they don't

D'oh !
Yep Terry is right !
Everything I said regarding the bikes is the wrong way round. ( was thinking of engine output direction looking at gearbox  Embarrassed) but the axle rotations bits are right.
Thanks Terry.  Smiley
