Great shot! Was the sky actually that colour or have you used a filter?

Super pic. Just enough of the surfer to know what it is and then his silhouette does the rest.

There have been some lovely sunsets over the last week that have been very yellowy orange so perhaps not a filter.

My phone takes a picture if you say 'smile' or 'cheese' which is useful if I don't want to get out of the car, I just stick my phone out the window and then say the word (yes,  lazy photography  Cheesy).

Took a really cool photo by accident. When the flash went off I got two sunsets, the actual sunset, the sea and the cliff top and then a reflection of them off the roof of the car. Couldn't have done that if I had tried.  Smiley

no filter Andy, just a slight longer exposure. Waterproof camera case causes light refraction too

Love the wave, & that 2nd one's gorgeous. Always wondered how people get such gorgeous coloured sunsets. Wonder if I can change the exposure time on my phone. Is that hand held?

The original fire and ice pic and the last one of the hotel were taken in the water on a boogie board. the middle 2 were on tripod.

Those really are very good, I am impressed, mind you I'm still amputating heads in most of my pics so doubt that my opinion is of any great value!! Grin Grin

Morrag, for everyone I consider OK for here 20 or more are failures. To bright, dark whatever, then the water shots take some hammering too. Often get washed over by waves, get feet, heads or sky only. Then somedays you get just what you want, so I put them up here to show off  Grin Grin

They are gorgeous. As for the blasé "taken in the water on a boogie board", well you are just showing off now!  Tongue

Anyway, I'm surprised you have the time with your extra responsibilities.  Wink

P.S. Wrote this while you were admitting you were showing off!

Better to be able to do that one day and be crippled the next, than not to be able to do it at all!
